Radical Entertainment, the studio behind beloved titles such as The Simpsons: Hit & Run and Prototype, has returned under a new name, leading fans to believe that remasters, remakes, and even sequels could be on the way.

The details:

  • New Radical Games describes itself on its new website as "Radical Entertainment + Hothead Games," indicating that the company serves as a successor to both studios. Radical Entertainment co-founder Ian Wilkinson serves as its CEO and president, while Tim Bennison, who previously worked at Radical and Capcom before serving as COO at Hothead, has been appointed as New Radical’s COO.
  • The website also highlights previously released games from its predecessors, namely The Simpsons: Hit & Run, which appears to be accompanied by newer artwork compared to the original release. "It all started with Radical Entertainment back in 1991,” the website reads. “Fast forward to 2025, and we have amassed invaluable experience along the way. We know how to capture the essence of world-class intellectual properties and deliver licensed games that delight fans everywhere.”
  • New Radical is now offering work-for-hire services, including full game development for mobile and console, co-development and additional support, and the creation of ports and remasters. Due to this line of work, fans believe that remasters of Hit & Run and Prototype could be on the cards, with the latter receiving an update last year that ultimately led to nothing.
