Sega teases its upcoming Crazy Taxi reboot on social media

Sega’s official Crazy Taxi social media accounts have shared their first update in years confirming that the upcoming reboot is on the way soon.

The details:

• The short teaser, posted on the series’ official X and other social channels, simply shows a taxi roof sign flickering on but features no gameplay, title, platforms, or release window. This is the first update regarding the project in quite a while, suggesting that a reveal could be coming soon at the upcoming Summer Game Fest.

• Sega previously described the new Crazy Taxi as a AAA open‑world “massively multiplayer driving” game built in Unreal Engine, set in a large, West Coast US‑inspired city with a “theme park‑like” map and fast gameplay seen in the original series.
• The reboot is part of Sega’s wider legacy revival push, which also includes new takes on Jet Set Radio, Golden Axe, and Streets of Rage, all currently listed in Sega Sammy financial materials with titles and release dates yet to be determined.
