Sega has opened applications for a closed network test of Crazy Taxi: World Tour, giving a small number of players access to the game's multiplayer across PS5, Xbox, and PC for a weekend in September. The test is focused purely on online functionality ahead of the full launch.
The details:
- The test runs from September 11 to September 13, 2026. Applications are open now and close on August 31. Sega has said only "a small number of players" will be selected.
- Two multiplayer modes are included: Pickup Race and Cops 'n' Cabbies. Cross-play is supported across all platforms, including Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, PS5, and Steam.
- The test is designed to stress-test the game's online infrastructure rather than offer a broad preview of the full game. Single-player and story content will not be included.
- Crazy Taxi: World Tour is a free-to-play multiplayer reimagining of the classic Sega arcade series. It has been in development at Sega for several years.
