Assassin’s Creed Red could be released in 2024

A new LinkedIn post from an alleged Ubisoft employee suggests that Assassin's Creed Codename Red could be released in 2024.

The details:

• According to Twitter user Access The Animus, a new post from Arisa Lagunzad, a member of Ubisoft's Business Development and Brand Partnership team, has potentially confirmed that the upcoming title will be released sometime next year. The post, originally written in Japanese, reads, "We are seeking a sponsoring partner for this title, Assassin's Creed: Codename RED, for next year. Assassin's Creed is really expanding the multi-media front with podcasts and Manga series. Do you want to partner with the biggest blockbuster for 2024?" and is accompanied by a previously released promotional image for the game.
• Ubisoft Quebec, the studio behind Assassin's Creed Syndicate and Odyssey, is working on Assassin's Creed Red. It is set in feudal Japan and is said to feature two playable characters, a shinobi, and a samurai, though Ubisoft has yet to reveal anything other than the teaser trailer. According to sources, the game will also include stealth mechanics such as hiding bodies, moving around in foliage, and turning off lights.
• Red is not the only Assassin's Creed title in development; it is one of 11 reported projects in the works across Ubisoft's studios. Its Sofia, Chengdu, and Annecy studios are working on Project Nebula, Raid, and Echoes. Nebula will reportedly have multiple locations, Raid will be a four-player co-op title, and Echoes is said to be a multiplayer title that will make use of Ubisoft's Scalar technology. The publisher is also said to be working on a remake of 2013's Black Flag, though this has yet to be officially confirmed.

As players progress through the game's main storyline, they will unlock new areas within the mode, allowing them to explore the locations without fear of enemies or objectives.
• Emile Morel, the Creative Director for Beyond Good and Evil 2, has suddenly passed away at age 40. Following the departure of Jean-Marc Geffroy, the designer was promoted from the project's Associate Creative Director position earlier this year. Ubisoft has yet to comment on the situation, and it’s unknown who may take over the position given the project’s apparent rough state.
