Naughty Dog is working on a second unannounced game, Neil Druckmann reveals

Naughty Dog boss Neil Druckmann has announced that the studio is currently working on a second project alongside its upcoming sci-fi title Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.
The details:
Speaking on the Press X to Continue podcast, Druckmann revealed that, while he is still working on Intergalactic as both creative director and writer, the developer has a second unannounced project in the works where he is taking on "more of a producer role." “I get to mentor, watch this other team, and give feedback and be the executive in the room,” the studio head said. “I enjoy all those roles, and the fact that I jump from one to the next makes my job very exciting and always feeling fresh. I’m never bored.”
Fans have already begun to speculate about who could be directing the project, with some suggesting that Uncharted: The Lost Legacy director Shaun Escayg, who rejoined Naughty Dog in 2021, might be involved. The Last of Us: Part II director Anthony Newman is also a potential candidate, with Druckmann previously suggesting a third entry in the series was planned, although he would later backtrack on his comments.
While nothing else about the mystery project has been confirmed, it is worth noting that the studio has previously developed multiple games at the same time. Former studio president Evan Wells stated in 2021 that Naughty Dog was struggling to work on multiple projects at the same time, and it was later revealed that the company was developing a The Last of Us multiplayer title. However, the spin-off was canceled while it continued to work on a remaster of Part II.
