Naughty Dog announces sci-fi action-adventure title Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet
Naughty Dog has revealed its next project, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. The brand new sci-fi IP follows a dangerous bounty hunter as she attempts to escape the planet on which she has been stranded.
The details:
Announced at The Game Awards, the action-adventure title is based on a new sci-fi IP centered around Jordan A. Mun, a dangerous bounty hunter stranded on the planet Sempiria. Jordan will need to use her "skills and wits" to escape the planet, which has not had contact with outside civilization in hundreds of years.
There isn't much known about the gameplay, but it stars Tati Gabrielle as Jordan, who previously played Braddock in the Uncharted film adaptation and will star as Nora in the second season of HBO's The Last of Us. In the accompanying blog post, Naughty Dog also confirmed that even more well-known faces will appear in the title, with bounty hunter target "Colin Graves" being portrayed by Silicon Valley actor Kumail Nanjiani.
Naughty Dog also recruited longtime collaborators Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross of Nine Inch Nails fame to compose the game's soundtrack. The duo are responsible for a number of well-received film soundtracks, including Luca Guadagnino's Challengers, Pixar's Soul, and the upcoming Tron: Ares.
