Fallout games have tripled in player count on Steam following the release of Amazon's TV show
Multiple games in the Fallout franchise have seen an increase in player count on Steam in the week since the release of Amazon's adaptation of the post-apocalyptic series, with Fallout 76 reaching a new high.

Last week, Amazon debuted its TV adaptation of Fallout, which received universal acclaim from viewers and critics. The series currently has an 88% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with critics rating it even higher at 94%.
SteamDB has shared that fans and newcomers have returned to the games, with a post on X showing that player counts for Fallout 3, 4, New Vegas, and 76 have "more than doubled" over the weekend. Since the post, some player counts have continued to increase, with Fallout 4 reaching a peak of 83,491 concurrent players on Sunday evening.
Fallout 76 has also reached a new all-time peak of 39,455 concurrent players, surpassing its previous record of 32,982 set shortly after its Steam launch in May 2020.
Bethesda has also confirmed that Fallout 4's next-gen update will be available on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 on April 25, adding a 60 FPS performance mode as well as other quest and bug fixes. Fans of the show have also received the welcome news that Amazon has renewed Fallout for a second season.
