EA confirms plans to release the next Battlefield by April 2026

EA has confirmed that it intends to release its next Battlefield title by the end of the next fiscal year, which ends in March 2026, as it launches its community testing program.
The details:
The publisher confirmed in its latest Q3 financial report that the untitled Battlefield game is "expected fiscal year 2026 release." The fiscal year 2026 will begin on April 1, 2025, and end on March 31, 2026, so fans can expect the title within the next 13 months assuming no delays occur.
EA recently announced "Battlefield Labs," a community testing program in which players can participate in tests and provide feedback on the game's mechanics, maps, modes, balancing, and other features. Registration is currently open, but the company intends to gradually expand its testing, implying that a full release may be scheduled for near the end of the year after the program concludes.
The publisher has taken a big gamble with the next Battlefield, which boasts the largest development team to date, as it attempts to win back its fan base following the poorly received BF2042. DICE, the franchise's creator, is collaborating with other EA studios Ripple Effect, Motive, and Criterion under the Battlefield Studios banner. The project is of such importance that Criterion recently confirmed to Eurogamer that it has paused development of its next Need for Speed title to direct all focus to Battlefield.
