Dying Light studio Techland reportedly cancels multiple projects

Techland, the Polish developer behind the Dying Light series, has reportedly scrapped two upcoming games after significant financial losses in recent years.
The details:
As reported by Polish business publication Puls Biznesu (via GamesRadar), Techland reported losses of 130 million Polish złoty (roughly 37.3 million USD) in the last fiscal year. The studio attributed the significant losses to "decisions to discontinue further work on two projects."
Techland has not revealed which of its projects have been canceled, but the developer announced in 2022 that it was working on a fantasy RPG with a development team that included several former CD Projekt Red employees. In 2023, studio CEO Paweł Marchewka shared a short update on its development, stating that it was "already shaping up to become something truly special," despite narrative director Karolina Stachyra's departure last year.
The developer is currently working on several projects in the Dying Light franchise including a new title, Dying Light: The Beast, as well as “board games, exclusive merchandise, original webcomic series and more.”
