Some fans of the looter shooter franchise, Borderlands, are rejoicing as Gearbox Software confirms that Claptrap, the motormouth companion who has been in every instalment, will have his own personal volume slider.
The details:
- Claptrap, the one-wheeled robot companion from Borderlands, has always split the fanbase, and it seems now that Gearbox Software has listened to the calls, and in the upcoming Borderlands 4, players will be able to decrease the volume of Claptrap or even mute him entirely.
- Narrative director Sam Winkler says he has written specific dialogue to go alongside the feature that includes an obscure reference.
- Borderlands 4 is slated to release in September of this year, with Gearbox head Randy Pitchford warning fans that 'deep discounts' and Borderlands 4 appearing on subscription services could take longer than five years.
