CD Projekt Red has confirmed that no additional content is planned for Cyberpunk 2077 while rumors surrounding a secret expansion for The Witcher 3 circulate online.

The details:

  • In response to fan requests on social media, CDPR confirmed via the official Cyberpunk 2077 X account that no further major content is coming to the game going forward, despite hopes that the developer would release something following its fifth anniversary last December.
  • Meanwhile, reports continue to circulate about a “secret” third expansion for The Witcher 3, which could arrive in May to coincide with the game’s 11th anniversary. It’s said that the DLC is being developed by Fool’s Theory, the studio behind the remake of the first Witcher title, with CD Projekt CFO Piotr Nielubowicz potentially hinting at its existence in a financial report late last year.
  • CDPR previously confirmed that Phantom Liberty and Update 2.1 would be the final major content releases for Cyberpunk 2077 as it is moving away from the in-house REDengine to Unreal Engine 5 for future projects. Currently, the studio is working on a sequel to the game as well as multiple projects involving The Witcher IP.
