Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 hits 3.3 million sales 33 days after launch

Sandfall Interactive's critically acclaimed RPG Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has reportedly sold over 3.3 million units in 33 days.
The details:
Publisher Kepler Interactive announced the impressive milestone via the game's official social media accounts, confirming that the figure includes sales on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. “Thirty-three days ago, we released Clair Obscur: Expedition 33,” the post reads. “Since then, we’ve sold 3.3 million copies. Seriously. As of today. We couldn’t make that up. Another entry on the long list of surreal moments that your support has made real. Thank you ALL.”
However, the publisher pointed out that those who downloaded the game through Xbox Game Pass's PC and Ultimate tiers are not included in the figure, implying that the total number of players is likely to be significantly higher.
The number 33 plays a major role in the game as the player controls the 33rd expedition as it attempts to stop the Paintress, who paints a number each year that kills anyone of an equal age or older. 33 then continues to appear in various areas throughout the game, such as weapon upgrades being limited to level 33.
Released in April, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has been a huge critical and commercial success, with fans praising its innovative combat, great music, and unique French setting. The RPG is the debut title for Sandfall Interactive and surpassed one million sales in just three days, prompting French President Emmanuel Macron to congratulate the studio.
