Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has been announced

Activision has announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will be released later this year, bringing the series back to a futuristic setting.
The details:
Activision revealed the title with a new trailer at the Xbox Games Showcase on Sunday, confirming that it will be this year's COD release. Treyarch, the main studio behind the Black Ops franchise, is working on the game alongside Raven Software, the series' long-time support studio.
Set in 2035, more than 40 years after the events of last year's Black Ops 6, the game is a direct sequel to 2012's Black Ops 2. The world is "on the brink of chaos, ravaged by violent conflict and psychological warfare." It will follow David Mason, Alex Mason's son, as he fights "against a manipulative enemy who weaponizes fear" alongside his team, which includes fan-favorite soldier Mike Harper.
Activision has confirmed that the campaign will be playable solo or in four-player online co-op mode, with both multiplayer and round-based zombies returning. BO7 will be available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5, with an Xbox Game Pass day one release similar to BO6, though a Nintendo Switch 2 version has not been confirmed.
