Nintendo has revealed further details about its new paid version of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, which will be available following the free-to-play game's closure in late November.

The details:

  • Nintendo announced in August that Pocket Camp, which was first released as a free-to-play title in 2017, would be shutting down on November 28, 2024. However, it was confirmed that a paid version of the game would be released, allowing players to transfer their save files to the new version while removing the controversial microtransactions and retaining the game's core features.

  • Nintendo has now confirmed that the Pocket Camp Complete will be available on December 3 for $19.99, with an introductory price offer of $9.99 until January 31.

  • Players can transfer their save data from the current version of Pocket Camp by connecting it to a Nintendo account, which must be done within the game. This allows players to continue where they left off until Nintendo disables the feature on June 2, 2025, with player level, Bells balance, animal friendship levels, furniture, crafting items, outfits, and camp layouts all carrying over.

  • Some features, such as the premium "Leaf Tickets" currency, the Pocket Camp Club subscription service, and even all forms of multiplayer, will be absent from the paid version. These will be replaced with new features such as earnable Leaf Tokens, tradable Camper Cards, and access to previously Pocket Camp Club-exclusive features.

  • A new location, Whistle Pass, is also being added, and Nintendo has confirmed that Pocket Camp Complete will receive new content and events until at least September of next year. Existing events from the free-to-play version will be repeated over the next four years, allowing players to obtain items they may have missed the first time.
