Xbox’s Developer_Direct showcase announced for January 18
Xbox has announced that its Developer_Direct showcase will return later this month, allowing fans to preview some of its studios' highly anticipated titles such as Avowed and Indiana Jones.
The details:
Xbox has confirmed that on Thursday, January 18, the show will begin at 12pm PT / 3pm ET / 8pm GMT on its official YouTube channels, followed by a separate Elder Scrolls Online showcase at 1pm PT / 4pm ET / 9pm GMT hosted by ZeniMax Online Studios.
Developer_Direct will feature presentations from MachineGames, Obsidian Entertainment, Ninja Theory, and Oxide Games, giving us a better look at the upcoming Indiana Jones game, fantasy RPG Avowed, Hellblade 2, and grand strategy title Ara: History Untold.
It's also possible that we'll learn more about Microsoft's third-party plans, as reports suggest that exclusives like Hi-Fi Rush and Sea of Thieves may make their way to rival platforms like the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5. We could see a similar situation to how Hi-Fi Rush was shadowdropped during last year's Developer_Direct, as both games are expected to be released on other platforms in "early 2024."
Elder Scrolls Online fans are also in for some exciting news, with ZeniMax's presentation revealing the MMO's next major expansion as well as details about its plot, locations, and additional new content, which will be available in 2024.
