Xbox unveils new achievement update with new animations and more

Xbox has announced that its iconic achievements system will be getting some highly requested changes soon, including some new visuals.

The details:

• As announced via the Xbox Blog, achievement notifications will soon match your profile’s color if you’re looking for something other than the classic green. Classic and rare achievements will also receive new icons and animations, with Xbox aiming to make “each unlock feel more personal” with the changes.
• Players will now be able to hide their games from public view, meaning that if you want to only highlight select titles, you can curate your profile without impacting your gamerscore in any way.
• The update will also bring a new feature to highlight games that have 100% achievement completion, and players will be able to use a filter and find their completed titles easier.
• Insiders will receive the update first in waves, with a public release coming in the near future, though Xbox has yet to confirm a set window.
