Xbox Games Showcase announced for June alongside rumored Call of Duty reveal
Microsoft has announced its Xbox Games Showcase for June, which will be followed by a Direct that is believed to be related to the next Call of Duty.
The details:
The showcase will be livestreamed on Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook on June 9 at 10 am PT / 1 pm ET / 6 pm BST. It will be Microsoft's first showcase featuring Activision Blizzard alongside Xbox Game Studios and Bethesda since the publisher's acquisition last year.
Following the main event, another Direct for an undisclosed title will be held. According to The Verge, the game in question is Call of Duty, and the image used in the teaser image features a logo previously discovered in the files of last year's Modern Warfare III. This is believed to be Treyarch's rumored Black Ops: Gulf War.
The Verge has also reported that the main Xbox showcase will include the announcement of a new Gears of War, as well as release dates for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, Obsidian’s Avowed, and MachineGames’ Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
