Ubisoft has confirmed that it will lay off more employees following the company's November cuts.

As reported by Ethan Gach, the publisher is cutting 45 positions in its Global Publishing and APAC divisions. In a statement to GameSpot, Ubisoft claimed that the decision is part of its attempt to "streamline" its operations and that reorganizing the teams will "adapt them to the market evolution with a more efficient and agile approach."
The company previously laid off 124 employees in November, primarily at its Montreal-based VFX studio, Hybride. This was part of a larger cost-cutting program that began in 2022 and has impacted over 1,000 employees to date.
Ubisoft is not the only major publisher to reduce its workforce in recent years, with EA laying off approximately 670 employees and Microsoft cutting 1,900 Activision Blizzard and Xbox jobs earlier this year.
