Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is delayed again

Warner Bros. has reportedly delayed the release of Rocksteady Studios’ upcoming Suicide Squad game to "add more polish."

The details:

• According to Bloomberg's Jason Schreier, an anonymous source with a direct connection to the project claims that the Suicide Squad game has been delayed once more, with the reason allegedly being to "add more polish" and improve certain gameplay elements that were "lagging.”
• Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League was originally aiming to launch in 2022 before it was moved to 2023, with Rocksteady confirming that it would then release on May 26, 2023. The new release date is currently unknown, with Bloomberg's source only providing a window of "later this year," and WindowsCentral's Jez Corden stating that he had heard the release was delayed until Q4 2023. Both news outlets have reached out to a representative at the publisher and parent company Warner Bros. for a comment on the delay, but have yet to receive a response, so we'll have to wait for an official announcement shortly.
• Footage from the game was shown at PlayStation's State of Play event in February, which drew criticism from fans due to its always-online requirement, as well as the inclusion of a battle pass and a live service structure for content. The delay appears to be unrelated to the backlash, with the source stating that it will not "overhaul much of the core gameplay.”
