It has been claimed that Sony is currently working on a revision of the PS5 Pro and its DualSense controller, with the latter said to feature a removable battery.

The details:

  • According to Polish site PPE.pl (via VGC), leaker Graczdari, who has accurately leaked several game releases and the upcoming physical edition of Oblivion Remastered, has claimed that Sony is planning to release a new PS5 Pro and DualSense model. It's said that the devices are set to be released in November, but that the new console will only be a minor revision to reduce power consumption.
  • The new controller is reportedly known as the DualSense V3 internally and will feature a removable battery. It appears that the battery will be rechargeable rather than the controller requiring single-use batteries like an Xbox controller. This will allow users to swap the battery out rather than purchasing an entirely new controller should there be any issues.
  • The new PS5 Pro model is said to include the revised DualSense controller, which will also replace the existing version sold in stores. It’s unknown if there are any further changes to the design or technical specifications of the console or controller, as the recently revised PS5 Digital Edition saw its glossy center replaced with a matte finish and a downgrade in storage capacity from 1TB to 825GB.
