EA’s Full Circle has revealed more details about its upcoming Skate reboot, confirming that the game’s soundtrack will consist of over 100 songs across various genres, with more being added post-launch.

The details:

  • Ahead of the game’s early access launch later this summer, the developer has shared a new press release (via Eurogamer) shedding more light on what to expect in terms of in-game music. According to the studio, the soundtrack will consist of various genres and eras, with tracks from the likes of punk band Turnstile, rappers Denzel Curry and MF Doom, and the legendary Earth, Wind & Fire.
  • Skate's soundtrack will be updated throughout the game's lifespan due to its live service nature, introducing new tracks after launch. Many older games experience licensing issues after the relevant licenses expire, resulting in tracks being removed or omitted from re-releases. This new seasonal approach will allow EA to replace tracks as needed, preventing the Skate soundtrack from shrinking over time.
  • Full Circle has confirmed that Skate will follow a seasonal structure, with new content such as cosmetics, music, and activities for players every three months. Like many other live service titles, it will also offer a free and paid season pass, which players will work through as they play by completing challenges. However, as a result, the game will not offer an offline mode, forcing players to remain connected to its servers at all times.
