PlayStation seemingly confirms the PS5 Pro in new 30th-anniversary artwork
Sony appears to have confirmed that a recent leaked sketch of the PS5 Pro was correct, as a similar console design is featured in the official artwork for PlayStation's 30th anniversary.
The details:
Last week, reputable leaker billbil-kun claimed to have learned more about the rumored PS5 Pro, sharing various details and a sketch of its design. The console was shown to have a white and black design similar to the current PS5 Slim but with three diagonal black stripes between the removable faceplates.
With the recent announcement of PlayStation's 30th-anniversary celebrations, fans have noticed that the accompanying artwork includes a system strikingly similar to the Pro in the leaked sketch between the PlayStation logo and the "30." As the Slim can be seen elsewhere in the artwork, it's assumed that this is essentially confirmation that the Pro is real and coming soon.
According to billbil-kun, the Pro is set to be announced in the first half of September. Given the accuracy of their sketch, it's likely that claims about the console potentially being released as a digital-only system with support for the new disc drive add-on are also correct.
