In-development footage and details of the single-player campaign from the upcoming Battlefield title have surfaced online stemming from a video included in its closed playtest.

The details:

  • In a post shared on X by dataminer Temporyal, a short clip shows an unfinished in-game cutscene from the end of a campaign mission in which the player blows up a dam in Tajikistan. The cinematic was discovered in the files of the latest Battlefield Labs update, and given the lack of textures, it's possible that it was mistakenly included in the build.

  • Temporyal has also revealed several new details about the campaign, including the fact that it will take place in Egypt, Tajikistan, the US, and Gibraltar, with a prologue and eight missions.

  • Aside from the fact that EA Motive is leading the mode's development with the help of Criterion Games, not much else is officially known about the Battlefield campaign. As for multiplayer, multiple closed playtests have been held through the Battlefield Labs program over the last year, and despite NDAs prohibiting footage from being shared, gameplay has continued to appear online.
