Nacon delays its game showcase following insolvency filing
Nacon

French publisher and peripheral manufacturer Nacon has delayed its upcoming Nacon Connect showcase after filing for insolvency, citing a "difficult economic environment" as the company focuses resources on its upcoming game releases.

The details:

  • Last week, Nacon announced it had filed for insolvency after its majority shareholder, Bigben Interactive, failed to make partial repayment of a bond loan. The company stated that the decision would allow it to "assess all possible solutions to ensure the sustainability of the company's activity under the best possible conditions, protect employees, and preserve jobs, while renegotiating with its creditors in a calm and constructive framework.”
  • The news came just days before its planned Nacon Connect showcase on March 4, 2026, which would see it reveal several new projects and details regarding its upcoming releases. However, Nacon has now postponed the presentation until May, stating it wants to "ensure that future announcements have the impact they deserve" and will use the additional time to further polish its titles for the showcase.
  • Despite the ongoing financial troubles, Nacon has confirmed that it will continue to support upcoming releases, including GreedFall: The Dying World, Dragonkin: The Banished, and Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss. GreedFall: The Dying World is still set to launch on March 12 following years of early access, with the release seemingly unaffected by the filing.
