Insomniac Games has confirmed that there are no plans for "additional story content" for Marvel's Spider-Man 2, but that all post-launch content will be included with the PC release in January.

The details:

  • Last week, the studio announced that the critically acclaimed 2023 title would be released on PC on January 30, 2025, through Steam and the Epic Games Store. The PC version is being developed in collaboration with Nixxes Software, which has worked on many popular PlayStation exclusive ports, including the original Marvel's Spider-Man.

  • The PC port will include all previous post-launch content, such as a New Game+ mode, Photo mode, additional suits, and other features. The deluxe edition of the game also includes ten new suits split between Miles Morales and Peter Parker, additional Photo mode items, and early unlocks for the Arachknight and Shadow-Spider suits, as well as the Web Grabber gadget.

  • Despite Insomniac's development mode slip-up earlier this year implying otherwise, the company has confirmed that no additional story content will be coming to the game in the future. With Spider-Man 1 receiving The City That Never Sleeps expansion, many speculated that the sequel would get similar DLC, especially after a major leak at Insomniac last year suggested Venom-related content was in the works.
