Details of Nintendo's Switch Online playtest leak online, revealing an MMO-type project
Despite Nintendo's request that players refrain from releasing information about the project, details and images from its exclusive 10,000-person Switch Online playtest have already surfaced, revealing a social MMO-style title.

Earlier this month, Nintendo announced that it was accepting registrations for a mystery playtest limited to 10,000 users who are also subscribers to Nintendo Switch Online's expansion pak tier. The company requested that players refrain from sharing any information about the test, but images and information have already been shared on social media.
Originally posted by X user @Ethan_ThisGuy, the images, which have since been removed due to a copyright claim, depicted an MMO-style game in which players must "fully develop a massive, expansive planet by utilising creativity and farmed resources." As players progress, "new lands, enemies, and resources" appear, allowing for the creation of new items.
The game, which looks visually similar to Minecraft, includes "special tools" called Beacons, which "emit a healing light that purifies and develops the land" they cover. The higher the beacon is placed, the wider the specified zone becomes, allowing players to continue developing that area until their "Planetary Block" is complete.
A social area known as the "Dev Core" will also be included, allowing players to level up, purchase items they may require, and socialize with others. Players will also receive points for not only developing land but also participating in the social aspects of the game.
The test will officially start on October 24 and last until November 6, with a 2.2 GB download. It's unclear when the full reveal will take place, or whether Nintendo is putting off a release until it announces the Switch's successor next year.
