Former Nintendo employee predicts June launch for Switch 2 and a price point of around $400

• During an appearance on the Kit and Krista podcast—hosted by fellow former Nintendo employees—Sean detailed his predictions about the Switch 2’s release. "They’re going to want the system out before the end of summer," he explained, pinpointing the end of the school year as a strategic release time to maximize buzz among school-age gamers.
• Sean anticipates the launch could be mid-June, stating, "I think we’ll see a June launch, probably mid-June, maybe a little bit later. But definitely before the end of summer." He mentioned that a later launch could indicate delays due to readiness issues with the console.
• There are strategic reasons for a summer launch, from capturing the youth market during school vacation to positioning the product well for holiday bundle sales. Sean speculated on the price point, suggesting, "I can’t imagine it being too much more than $400… maybe $450 is the highest I can imagine."
