Fall Guys has officially come to Fortnite
Epic Games has officially added Fall Guys to Fortnite, allowing players to encounter its iconic bean-shaped characters and complete familiar obstacle courses.
The details:
With the latest Fortnite update, players can now find "Bean Idols" in the Classy Courts location of the standard battle royale mode. When interacted with, players will be teleported to an obstacle course in the sky, where they will be transformed into a Fall Guys bean, which will reward them with varying quality loot depending on how long it takes to complete.
New quests related to the courses have also been added, allowing players to earn rewards such as the new Pink Plushie Back Bling, which straps a pink bean wearing a crown to the player's back.
Mediatonic, the developer of Fall Guys, has also created additional courses that can be played outside of the battle royale mode, and community creators will have access to the new assets. In Fortnite's Creative mode, the new battle royale variant is known as "Fall Guys Islands."
Mediatonic was acquired by Epic Games in 2021 after Fall Guys became extremely popular, and despite the game's slow decline in popularity, Mediatonic has continued to support it, making it free to play in mid-2022. Last year, Epic laid off over 800 employees, which included many staff at the studio.
