Epic offers developers 100% revenue share for bringing old titles to its store

Epic Games has announced that, as part of its latest scheme, it will now offer 100% revenue share to developers who bring their back catalogs to its storefront.

The details:

• Epic has recently announced its Now On Epic scheme, which entitles developers to 100% of revenue from back catalog sales for six months after bringing it to the Epic Games Store. To be eligible for the program, games must be "currently live on another third-party PC store or included in a third-party subscription service available on another third-party PC store," and they must have been released before October 31, 2023. After six months, the revenue returns to the store's standard 88%/12% split.
• However, there is a catch: if a developer has more than six games on another service, they must bring at least three of them to the Epic Games Store. If fewer than three games are available elsewhere, all of them must be brought over.
• Developers and publishers can participate in the program until December 31, 2024, and all eligible products must be available on the store by June 30, 2025.
• Epic announced its First Run program in August, promising developers 100% of the revenue from their titles in exchange for six months of exclusivity. Similarly to Now On Epic, once the timed Epic Games Store exclusivity period expires, companies can distribute their games elsewhere; however, the revenue split returns to 88%/12%.
