Elden Ring Nightreign is getting two-player expeditions, FromSoftware announces

FromSoftware has formally announced that duo expeditions are coming after fans criticized the Nightreign for only having solo or three-player cooperative modes.
The details:
Following the release of Nightreign, FromSoftware admitted to having "overlooked" two-player co-op during development. Currently, players in a two-person party must find a third player through the game's matchmaking system in order to play together, or they can choose to play solo expeditions, which have recently been rebalanced to be easier.
In a post celebrating the title selling over 3.5 million copies in just five days, the developer stated that the "Night is far from over," sharing that DLC is coming later this year along with Duo Expeditions "at a later date." Other new additions are also in the works, beginning with "enhanced fights against existing Nightlords" later this month.
Despite attracting over two million players across all platforms on its first day, reviews for the co-op roguelike were mixed. Many fans criticized the game's lack of depth in comparison to other FromSoftware titles, as well as its difficulty and technical performance. Some players wasted no time in addressing the game's shortcomings, as Yui, the modder behind various Souls Seamless Co-op mods, has already created a two-player co-op mod.
