Fairgames creative director Daniel Drapeau has announced that he has left PlayStation’s Haven Studios to join WB Montreal amid rumors of the game’s rocky development.

The details:

  • Drapeau announced his new role in a post to LinkedIn, confirming that he has joined Warner Bros Games Montreal as a creative director. "As of this week, I joined WB Games Montreal Inc. as Creative Director,” he wrote. “I can't wait to start this wonderful adventure with all the great people here at the studio. I also want to particularly thank Yves Lachance, Logan A. Lesage and Bryan Theberge for their trust and support throughout the process. Now, let's do this!"
  • Drapeau was previously a creative director at PlayStation-owned Haven Studios, which is currently developing Fairgames, an upcoming live service multiplayer shooter that has been impacted by several rumors and changes. Back in May, studio founder and former Ubisoft producer Jade Raymond announced that she would be leaving Haven, with it being reported that Sony had also chosen to delay Fairgames to 2026.
  • Originally announced in 2023, Fairgames (then stylized as Fairgame$) has been described as a “competitive modern heist game where you team up to break into exotic locations and steal the cargo." Players will need to outsmart both the AI-controlled security as well as other players in order to retrieve the loot, though not much else has been revealed. It appears that Sony believes in the title, given that it has not been scrapped like many of its other live service projects, despite an inaccurate report that it had been cancelled earlier this year.
