Remedy Entertainment has announced Control Resonant, a follow-up to its 2019 action-adventure title Control.

The details:

  • As revealed at The Game Awards following a trademark leak, the game will be released across Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Mac in 2026. Developed by Remedy, Control Resonant is also being co-produced and co-financed by media company Annapurna Pictures.
  • The title follows Dylan Faden, the brother of Control protagonist Jesse, in a “perception-bending” version of Manhattan, which reflects his “troubled psyche.” Unlike Jesse, who wields a gun, Dylan instead uses a melee weapon named Aberrant, which can change forms and work alongside his supernatural abilities.
  • "We've made this one easy to pick up and hard to put down," creative director Mikael Kasurinen said. "We're pushing the scale beyond anything we've done before, elevating combat, exploration, and storytelling into a bigger, more memorable experience. It's ambitious, a little wild, and we can't wait for players to get lost in it."
