Capcom has announced that its highly anticipated sci-fi title Pragmata will now arrive a week earlier than previously planned, launching on April 17 instead of the originally scheduled April 24 release date.

The details:

  • The new release date was revealed during Capcom's Showcase live stream on Thursday, with the game now set to launch on PS5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC on April 17, but no official reason was provided for the change.
  • Originally announced in 2020, Pragmata was delayed several times before it was pushed back indefinitely in 2023 and re-revealed last year, confirming a 2026 launch.
  • The game, which is an all-new Capcom IP, follows spacefarer Hugh and android Diana, who are tasked with taking down a hostile AI that currently controls the space station that they are trapped in. Players are able to control both characters at the same time, with Diana’s hacking abilities used to create openings during combat and solve various puzzles, while Hugh defends her using a number of weapons and abilities.
