Call of Duty: WWII pulled from PC Game Pass after exploit leaves many users shocked and embarrassed

Call of Duty publisher, Activision, has had to take the PC Game Pass version of Call of Duty: WWII offline as they investigate an 'issue' which is being reported as a remote code exploit.

The details:

• The exploit has reportedly caused many issues with CoD: WWII, including app pop-ups, PC shutdowns, and some users reported having their screens plastered with adult content.
• The shooter only launched on the PC Game Pass service at the end of June, but has now been taken offline, affecting both the Game Pass and the PC Microsoft Store releases. Steam and Battle.net releases have not been affected.
• Activision has so far remained tight-lipped about the situation, simply saying the game was "brought offline while we investigate reports of an issue". While streamers have been providing evidence online of instances of the exploit being used, with messages such as "Your PC is now mine" appearing on screen.
