Bethesda releases new Elder Scrolls mobile game The Elder Scrolls: Castles

Bethesda has just released a new Fallout Shelter-style simulation title for Android users set in the Elder Scrolls universe, unexpectedly.

The details:

• As reported by IGN, Bethesda's latest mobile release is a free-to-play Elder Scrolls simulation management game, but it is currently in early access and only available on Android, with an iOS and possibly PC version arriving later.
• Anyone familiar with another Bethesda mobile hit Fallout Shelter will feel right at home with the new title, which is essentially an Elder Scrolls reskin with a few additional features. Players will need to manage resources, keep their settlers happy, maintain their castle in good condition, and outfit residents with equipment to go on quests to find new loot. The game also involves subject training and naming heirs to the throne, with each real-life day equating to an entire year in-game.
• Todd Howard, director and producer at Bethesda, revealed in December that the company was working on another mobile game and that he was "in love" with the unannounced project. The title in question may be TES: Castles, as Howard stated that it would be aimed at a younger audience and would be playable for extended periods. Bethesda currently has three mobile titles available: TES: Blades, Fallout Shelter, and TES: Legends.
