Phantom Blade Zero

Recently announced at the PlayStation Showcase, the highly anticipated title Phantom Blade Zero, has already garnered attention and praise for its unique blend of kung fu, punk aesthetics, and challenging gameplay reminiscent of the popular Soulslike genre.

Phantom Blade Zero introduces players to a captivating world filled with danger, mystery, and supernatural abilities. Drawing inspiration from classic martial arts movies and the vibrant steampunk subculture, the game embraces a visually striking art style that sets it apart from traditional AAA releases.

The upcoming title distinguishes itself through its deep and challenging combat system. Players will engage in intense one-on-one duels against powerful adversaries, requiring precise timing, strategic decision-making, and mastery of a wide range of martial arts techniques. Each battle is a test of skill and reflexes, as players must learn the attack patterns of their opponents and exploit their weaknesses to emerge victorious.

In addition to the thrilling combat, Phantom Blade Zero also offers a rich and interconnected world to explore. From sprawling urban landscapes to ancient temples hidden in the mountains, players will traverse diverse environments filled with hidden secrets, lore, and memorable characters.

The game is being developed by S-Game, in collaboration with Cruelman Studio, who has previously worked on mobile RPGS. Phantom Blade Zero will mark the studio's first major console and PC project.

The fast-paced third-person samurai title will serve as a successor, or reboot, to the studio's mobile game franchise bearing the same name. With very different art to the stylized Phantom Blade: Executioners, Phantom Blade Zero has allowed the studio to create the game they envisioned for their universe from the start.

Phantom Blade Zero will be available on PlayStation 5 and PC likely in late 2023 or early 2024, and we're very excited. The studio's Phantom Blade: Executioners is also getting a Steam release for those eager to dive into the world in anticipation of the mainline game!
