Alan Wake 2's release date has been pushed back by a week

Remedy Entertainment has announced that the launch of Alan Wake 2 has been moved back ten days in order to give fans "more space" to play other games releasing during October.

The details:

• In a new tweet, Remedy confirmed that Alan Wake 2 is now releasing on October 27 instead of October 17, 2023, in order to allow fans of the series to experience other major releases during the month. "October is an amazing month for game launches, and we hope this date shift gives more space for everyone to enjoy their favorite games," the developer wrote.
• Remedy is still planning on making an appearance at Gamescom next week, however, writing, "We can't wait to show you what everyone's favorite novelist is up to in the Dark Place next week. Thanks for your patience!"
• October is shaping up to be one of the busiest months in gaming this year, with Assassin’s Creed Mirage on October 5, Forza Motorsport on October 10, Lords of the Fallen on October 13, Super Mario Bros. Wonder and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on October 20, Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 and Cities Skylines on October 24, and Alone in the Dark on October 25.
