The Overwatch team is looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Systems Designer to drive systems, features and game modes and help craft the future of the game. Do you understand how features and systems can shape the player experience and create unforgettable moments? Are you self-motivated and eager to improve games both in and out of engine? This role offers a flexible hybrid work week, with a mix of remote and on‑site days, based out of our Seoul studio. While hybrid is the standard arrangement, candidates may also choose to work on‑site full-time if preferred.

본 포지션은 Overwatch의 주요 게임 시스템과 피처를 설계하고, 플레이어 경험과 게임 밸런스를 지속적으로 개선하는 데 기여하는 역할입니다. 게임 시스템이 플레이어 경험에 어떤 영향을 주는지 이해하고, 엔진 안팎에서 게임을 더 나은 방향으로 개선하는 데 관심이 있는 분을 찾습니다. 협업적이고 창의적인 개발 환경에서 다양한 직군과 함께 일하는 것을 즐기는 분이라면 더욱 적합합니다.

본 포지션은 블리자드 코리아 스튜디오 소속이며, 재택과 사무실 근무를 병행하는 하이브리드 근무 형태를 기본으로 합니다. 희망하실 경우 상시 사무실 근무도 가능합니다.
  

Responsibilities 담당 업무

• Drive the design of critical game features and systems from concept through development
• Work collaboratively across a large multidisciplinary team to build consensus and drive phenomenal outcomes for the game
• A deep understanding and appreciation of Korean gaming culture and the Overwatch community
• Drive implementation and maintenance of metagame and gameplay systems
• Develop and maintain design documents through the feature production process
• Use data, player research and player feedback to thoughtfully advise feature iteration and game balance
• Represent Blizzard and Overwatch development and design values
• Work closely with producers to supervise and prioritize work
• Align with and champion the team’s goals and vision

• Blizzard와 Overwatch 개발 및 디자인 가치를 이해하고, 이를 업무 과정에서 일관되게 반영합니다.
• 프로듀서와 긴밀히 협업하여 업무 진행 상황을 점검하고 우선순위를 조율합니다.
• 팀의 목표와 비전을 이해하고, 그 방향성에 맞춰 적극적으로 기여합니다.

Minimum requirements 지원요건

• 10+ years of experience on shipped or live games including the development of new meta and gameplay features, as well as tuning economic and competitive systems
• 5+ years of experience in a mid-level design role driving key systems and features
• A proven track record to own and drive features and systems of high quality
• Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English
• Broad experience and knowledge of competitive games and team shooters
• Experience owning and delivering features at a high-quality bar
• Extensive scripting and game toolset experience

• 출시 또는 라이브 서비스 중인 게임에서 10년 이상의 경험이 있으며, 신규 메타 시스템 및 게임플레이 피처 개발, 경제 시스템 및 경쟁 시스템 튜닝 경험이 있으신 분
• 미드레벨 이상의 디자인 역할에서 주요 시스템과 피처를 담당하거나 추진한 경험이 5년 이상 있으신 분
• 주요 피처와 시스템을 오너십을 가지고 높은 품질로 완성해온 검증된 경험이 있으신 분
• 한국어와 영어로 원활하게 문서 및 구두 커뮤니케이션이 가능한 분
• 경쟁 게임과 팀 기반 슈터 장르에 대한 폭넓은 경험과 이해를 갖추신 분
• 높은 품질 기준에 맞춰 피처를 담당하고 출시 또는 전달해본 경험이 있으신 분
• 스크립팅 및 게임 개발 툴셋 사용 경험이 풍부하신 분

• Experience working on live games with a proven track record to improve the game over time
• Experience with international co-development
• Deep understanding of the broader game's market, trends and strategies; ability to teardown games and analyze their structure and motivations
• Proficiency in working with multidisciplinary teams, design documentation and production processes
• Extensive experience building and tuning game economies, progression systems, social systems and more
• Experience with fundamental game analytics and leveraging them to improve the game
