Xbox reveals its Gamescom 2024 plans, featuring 50+ playable games
Xbox has announced plans for Gamescom later this month, including new trailers for upcoming games and a booth with over 50 titles for attendees to play.
The details:
Xbox revealed the details on its website, confirming that the 50+ games will include both first and third-party titles such as Age of Mythology: Retold, Ara: History Untold, Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred, Fallout 76: Milepost Zero, The Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Road, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, Space Marine 2, and Towerborne. Over 240 stations featuring the games will be open at the booth.
The booth will also feature "specially constructed" theaters, with Xbox confirming that it will host exclusive presentations for upcoming titles such as Avowed, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and Starfield: Shattered Space.
Blizzard will make its first appearance at the show since it was acquired by Microsoft, with a playable demo of Diablo IV's new Spiritborn class and a Diablo Immortal Helliquary boss tournament. World of Warcraft will also be present, offering a "special immersive experience" that will give “attendants the chance to feel the thrill of Skyriding in Azeroth.”
Xbox's booth will be in Hall 7 of the Koelnmesse, near the north entrance, and will be open to attendees from August 22 to August 25. Gamescom officially begins on August 21, but its Geoff Keighley-produced showcase, Opening Night Live, will return on August 20.
