Xbox confirms Forza Horizon 6 is still coming to PS5 this year

Xbox has reaffirmed that Forza Horizon 6 will launch on PS5 in 2026, pushing back against speculation that the port had been quietly shelved or pushed to avoid a collision with GTA 6's November 19 release. No specific date has been given, but the game has appeared on the PlayStation Store with a "coming soon" listing.

Forza Horizon 6 launched on Xbox Series X|S and PC on May 19, 2026, set in a fictionalised version of Japan with Tokyo as the central hub and over 550 cars. The PS5 version was announced alongside it but has yet to receive a release date.
Concern had been growing in recent weeks that Microsoft was sitting on the PS5 launch to avoid competing directly with GTA 6. The developer's reaffirmation came alongside news of the game's next major content update, signalling the port is still actively in preparation.
The PS5 release would be the latest in Microsoft's ongoing strategy of bringing first-party titles to rival hardware, following Forza Motorsport and Sea of Thieves onto PlayStation.
