Vampire Survivors will not introduce cross-save for PlayStation players due to an undisclosed “legal issue”

Vampire Survivors developer Poncle has confirmed that cross-save will not be coming to PlayStation consoles as originally planned due to a legal issue involving its partners.
The details:
Earlier this year, Poncle announced that patch 1.13 for Vampire Survivors would include cross-platform saves, allowing players to jump between systems and continue their game while using a Poncle account to store the data. For example, this would enable players to play on a mobile device while traveling and then continue on a PC or console at home.
However, while the feature is still scheduled to arrive for most platforms, Poncle has confirmed that PlayStation 4 and 5 will not receive it due to a "legal issue" that would require it to "share info on our partners that we're unable to." As a result, the feature has been scrapped, with the developer stating that the likelihood of it coming to the platform in the future is "very slim," though it is working with PlayStation to potentially resolve the issue.
Cross-save will still arrive on Xbox consoles, PC, Android, and iOS in the coming weeks, with plans to bring it to the Nintendo Switch later. Poncle also states that the Apple Arcade release may support cross-saving in the future, assuming it does not encounter similar issues as the PlayStation version.
