The long-rumored Simpsons collaboration has officially launched in Fortnite, bringing a month-long season featuring a completely new Springfield-themed map and some rather cool cel-shaded visuals.

The details:

  • The crossover, which launched this week, sees the introduction of a new Springfield Island map, which has replaced the Chapter 6 island for the duration of the season. Accommodating up to 80 players instead of 100, the map features several iconic locations from the long-running show, including the Simpsons' house, Moe's Tavern, Kwik-E-Mart, the Nuclear Power Station, Krusty Burger, The Android's Dungeon & Baseball Card Shop, and Mr. Burns’ Manor.
  • New Simpsons-themed items have also been added to the loot pool, including the balloon-firing revolver Mr. Blasty, the headshot-preventing Jebediah's protective Helmet, and a number of items that provide buffs and healing, such as Duff and Krusty Burgers.
  • As with every major collaboration, the season includes a new battle pass with five new Simpsons-themed skins, including Homer, Marge, and Ned Flanders, alongside new versions of Fortnite characters Blinky Fishstick and Springfielder Peely in a Simpson art style. Each skin also comes with alternate costumes inspired by fan-favorite scenes such as Evil Homer, as well as LEGO variants.
