Saber Interactive may have been sold by Embracer; branding removed from site
Saber Interactive has removed all Embracer Group branding from its website, indicating that the company may have been sold, as previously reported.
The details:
Saber removed references to Embracer in early March, as noted by @lejooon on X, with the phrase "an Embracer Group company" removed from below its logo. The company's bio has also been updated to remove the mention of Embracer.
Bloomberg previously reported that Embracer was looking to sell Saber and its other projects, including the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake. If the sale is complete, the new owner of the company is unknown at this time.
Embracer’s recent restructuring program has led to significant layoffs, studio closures, and project cancellations. It was also claimed that it is looking to sell Borderlands developer Gearbox, with a deal reportedly being finalized.
