RuneScape studio Jagex announces new survival game, RuneScape: Dragonwilds

Jagex, the UK-based studio behind the legendary MMORPG RuneScape, has announced RuneScape: Dragonwilds, a new open world survival game.
The details:
Dragonwilds is set in the world of RuneScape, Gielinor, on the new continent of Ashenfall. Players can play solo or in co-op with up to three friends. Players must survive by gathering resources, learning new skills and magical spells, constructing bases, and fighting enemies such as trolls, rats, and dragons across two regions.
While the game is not set in the same area of Gielinor as RuneScape, there are a number of links between the two games. This includes the return of classic skills like woodcutting and cooking, the inclusion of "legendary RuneScape creatures," and elements of the MMO's lore.
On Dragonwilds' Steam page, Jagex confirms that the game has been in closed alpha since late last year, with early access available on PC in "Spring 2025," when it will begin to incorporate player feedback going forward. Currently, the developer is aiming for a full PC and console release next year, and plans to hold a showcase livestream on April 15.
