Rocksteady founders Jamie Walker and Sefton Hill leaving studio

Jamie Walker and Sefton Hill, founders of Rocksteady, are leaving the studio before 2023 arrives.

The studio: They've been with the company for 18 years.

• It was founded in December 2004 by Walker and Hill, former employees of Argonaut Games.
• It was acquired by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment in 2010 and now it employs around 250 people.
• It's best known for developing the successful Batman: Arkham series and is currently working on the fifth instalment of the franchise, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

The departure: It was their decision to leave.

• Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment President David Haddad revealed the impending departures of Walker and Hill in a letter published on Rocksteady's website.
• The announcement states that it was the co-founders' decision to depart the studio to "begin a new adventure in gaming" now that the upcoming Suicide Squad game is nearing completion.
• Rocksteady is "well-positioned" moving forward without its founders, as per the announcement, with Director of Production Nathan Burlow being promoted to Studio Director and Production Director Darius Sadeghian stepping up as Studio Product Director.
• "They are veterans of our industry and we know their commitment to Rocksteady and their talent and energy will take the team to even greater heights," said Walker and Hill of Burlow and Sadeghian.
