Riot Games are hiring a product manager to work on console VALORANT

VALORANT developer Riot Games has posted a job opening for a Product Manager to work on the upcoming console release of their tactical FPS.

The details:

• A new job listing for an "Analytical Product Manager" has recently appeared on Riot’s career site. Back in November 2022, we spotted that Riot was hiring for a mix of managerial and senior positions to work on the project, which has since continued.
• In this new leadership role, the candidate will need to have five years' worth of product management experience alongside solid data analysis skills. The job has a big emphasis on analyzing data to improve growth in the market, providing the rest of the development team with some insight as to what changes and improvements can be made to the game itself to drive more players and revenue.
• There’s not much information about console VALORANT just yet, but it could potentially be Riot’s first step into console gaming, depending on the targeted release date, with League of Legends: Wild Rift also coming to consoles in the future.

• Alongside the console versions of VALORANT, Riot is also in the process of developing a mobile version of the FPS. The game, like the console offering, currently has no official release date, though it was reportedly leaked to be dropping sometime in 2023.
• VALORANT esports will be making its return with an all-new format featuring 30 partnered teams from three regions: the Americas, EMEA, and Pacific. Non-partnered teams will need to compete in regional Challengers events to qualify for Ascension events, where the winner will join the partnered International League on a two-year basis until each region expands to 14 teams by 2027.
