Prince of Persia: Sands of Time remake confirmed for 2026
Ubisoft has announced that the long-awaited remake of 2003βs Prince of Persia: Sands of Time will arrive sometime in 2026.
The details:
The release window was confirmed in a new teaser trailer shown during Monday's Ubisoft Forward livestream, but it did not specify which platforms the game will be available on.
Initially announced in 2020, the remake was in development at Ubisoft's Mumbai and Pune studios for two and a half years, with a release date set for the following year. Many reactions to the trailer were negative due to its visuals, prompting multiple delays.
Development was then restarted under Ubisoft Montreal last year, with the publisher's Toronto studio also contributing to the project as of early June, when Ubisoft also stated that "excellent progress" had been made on the game.
