Mafia: The Old Country release date and $50 price tag officially announced

Despite rising costs for major games over the last year, 2K has confirmed that Mafia: The Old Country will be available in August and cost $49.99.
The details:
After accidentally leaking the game's release date last month, 2K has now officially confirmed that Mafia: The Old Country will be released on August 8, 2025, in a new statement coupled with a new gameplay trailer. Unlike many other major releases that are now priced at $80, the publisher revealed that the Hangar 13-developed title will cost $50 or $60 for the Deluxe Edition.
Those who pre-order the game will get access to the Soldato Pack, that includes a new outfit, knife, horse, and accessories. Deluxe Edition owners will receive the Padrino and Gatto Nero packs, which also consist of a variety of unique weapons and cosmetics, as well as a digital art book and soundtrack.
According to 2K, the game will not feature any open-world gameplay, with Hangar 13 instead opting for a "linear highly-polished narrative experience." In a statement, company president David Ismailer stated that 2K believes there is a "large audience for compelling stories that don't require massive time commitments," with Mafia: The Old Country being able to "complement" larger games such as live-service titles, which players are likely to allocate more time to.
