Halo's ODSTs are officially coming to Helldivers 2, Arrowhead confirms

Arrowhead has announced that Halo’s ODSTs will be coming to Helldivers 2 later this month, marking the first time that the sci-fi shooter IP will appear in a PlayStation title.

The details:

• Earlier this month, it was teased that Helldivers would receive a crossover with Halo ahead of its Xbox launch later this month. Fans noted that it appeared that the trailer more specifically teased the inclusion of ODSTs, with the short clip featuring a drop pod, rainy city, and the iconic saxophone heard in 2009’s Halo 3: ODST.
• Arrowhead has now announced that the collaboration is indeed real and will arrive on August 26, the same date as the game’s Xbox release. “Enter The Obedient Democracy Support Troopers (ODST), AKA The Helljumpers,” the synopsis reads. “This new equipment set from the Ministry of Defense will give your Helldivers the look of the fabled unit every Super Earth citizen had on their school lunch box as kids.”
• The crossover will bring with it the iconic A-9 Helljumper Armor Set, M6C/SOCOM Pistol, and M7S SMG commonly used by ODSTs. However, the legendary warbond also comes with the MA5C Assault Rifle, the M90A Shotgun, the famous A-35 Recon Armor Set, and more.
