GreedFall studio Spiders is reportedly closing its doors

Spiders, the French studio behind GreedFall, Steelrising, and The Technomancer, is reportedly being shut down after parent company Nacon has failed to find a buyer during its insolvency process.

The details:

• As reported by French outlet Origami, several sources have shared that its employees are now wrapping up their final pieces of work at the studio and that the liquidation process is a "mere formality at this stage." The closure would result in around 75 job losses.
• The news comes amid ongoing financial issues at Nacon, which filed for insolvency in late February after its parent company failed to repay debts. As a result, it was forced to delay its showcase for all upcoming projects and list some of its properties for sale, including Spiders.
• Spiders, founded back in 2008, has been known in recent years for GreedFall and Steelrising, with GreedFall 2 being its latest release after it launched in early access back in March, leaving its future up in the air following the studio’s closure.
